Dress codes are put in place for the safety of our dancers and so the instructor can clearly see body alignment. Go to discountdance.com and search the shoes listed for your classes. CREATIVE MOVEMENT / 3&4 YO / 5&6 YO / K-1ST :

  • Any Dance attire/Activewear that allows for movement  (leotards, small ballet skirts, leggings, spandex shorts, tanktops)

  • Hair up and out of face

JAZZ / BALLET / TAP  / POINTE / POM / LYRICAL / CONDITIONING (ALL LEVELS):

  • Tight Fitting Dance Attire/Activewear (leotards, tights, leggings, spandex shorts, tank tops, crop tops, sports bras)

  • NO LOOSE OR BAGGY CLOTHING

  • Layers may be worn during the warm up but must be removed when instructed by teacher

  • Hair pulled back and out of face securely so that it is not falling out during class

CONTEMPORARY / HIP HOP (ALL LEVELS):

  • Dance Attire/Activewear (leotards, tights, leggings, spandex shorts, tank tops, crop tops, sports bras, t-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, joggers)

  • Loose clothing is appropriate for these styles 

  • Hair may be worn down

YOGA:

  • Activewear of any kind. 

  • Comfort is key, bring layers!

  • The studio will provide yoga mats for use, but if you plan on taking yoga you may want to get your own to keep with you or store at the studio. Jessie will provide yoga blocks, blankets, and straps when needed.

COMPANY REHEARSALS LEVELS 4 & 6:

  • Tight Fitting Dance Attire/Activewear (leotards, tights, leggings, spandex shorts, tank tops, crop tops, sports bras)

  • NO LOOSE OR BAGGY CLOTHING

  • Layers may be worn during the warm up but must be removed when instructed by teacher

  • Hair pulled back and out of face securely so that it is not falling out during class

  • Layers may be worn during the warm up but must be removed when instructed by teacher

  • Hair pulled back and out of face securely so that it is not falling out during class
